Jappie! Can you help??

Hi all

Can someone ask Jappie where he got his front bumper from and did it take a lot of work to fit it?

Wolf from club323F.com has the same bumper but it fits really badly (bought from Andreas at Concept style/fun tuning, he wouldn't do anything about it so avoid buying anything from him!)

Thanks

Hehe, funny to see my name in the forum scroll

I bought this bumper from another member of this forum but it didn't fit also very good as you can see beneath :(

So I improved it on some points :D

Beside that I where not satisfied about the lights fit on it, you can see thru the different colour of poly what I've changed:

To make the bumper fit better with the hood I made some iron holders on the left and right side above the radiator to press the bumper in place:

Hope you understand my bad English and goodluck, if you got anymore questions about this, ask!

Thanks a lot Jappie. It looks great when on properly! It gives me some ideas.

Do you know who the other member got it from. We had a few problems with Andreas (fun tuning/Concept Style, the bumper and the spoiler were bad quality) and want to warn any F owners out there not to use him.

Club323f.com has cut all ties with him over this.

There are a couple of members on this forum who got this front bumper, and they have bought it at different people/tuning shops in the Netherlands. I think it comes all from the same producer because I heard and saw the same problems everywhere about this front bumper. I knew before purchase about the fitting problems, but I liked the bumper so much I didn't look for another one :D

I must say that is a HUGE gap between the hood and the bumper on Wolf's car

Jappie, caused your bumper such a gap?

No, not as huge as the one on Wolf's car. I think it was about 1 cm (almost half an inch) at my car, when I pushed it to the front and heated this up with a paintremover it was better. I did this before the bumper was painted, don't do this afterwards.. That iron 'holders' (I don't know the right word for it) holds it now in the right position.

Dank Jappie, for the pictures. Looks like you put a LOT of hard work into making that bumper fit! Your motor looks very mooi now. :D

I bought my bumper from someone who people said was trustworthy so we thought the quality would be good. Sadly we only found out how bad it was once it was sprayed and fitted. :x

I think I will get a different front bumper for my car now though, and not try to make that one fit. :?

ALWAYS fit your bumper before you let it spray.
